During my first confinement in India, I discovered the benefits of fasting. I decided to try a fast of herbal tea with a little honey, which I managed to maintain for just over three days. It was an eye-opening experience that plunged me into an enriching meditative state, although the first day was particularly difficult. Since then, I regularly practice three-day fasts several times a year, in addition to intermittent fasting, which I try to stick to as often as possible. I also include a day and a half of fasting every week. Although the first day remains a challenge, I've found that with repetition, this practice becomes easier and more enjoyable, allowing me to connect better with myself.
Fasting may seem simple at first glance, but it often presents challenges, especially when you try to do it alone. Gathering with others can make the process easier, as mutual encouragement and shared experiences enrich the process. What's more, establishing a coherent program of activities to accompany fasting can considerably enhance its benefits. This not only keeps the mind occupied, but also maintains a good group dynamic. In this way, combining fasting with a variety of activities creates an environment conducive to personal and collective fulfillment, making the experience more enjoyable and beneficial for all.
This cure offers an introduction to fasting lasting just over 48 hours, limiting contraindications while promoting a beneficial experience. The fast is carefully adapted to the needs and usual diet of the participants. It consists of an unsweetened water fast, which can be enhanced with a little honey, a single fruit and vegetable broths. This personalized approach is designed to make fasting accessible and enjoyable, while supporting each participant in their quest for well-being. Participants will discover the benefits of a dietary break, in an environment conducive to relaxation and reflection.
To prepare the body effectively for fasting, it is advisable to adopt a vegetarian diet free from dairy products, alcohol and soft drinks, while reducing sugar consumption to a minimum. This dietary transition should ideally begin at least three days before the start of the fast. By following this advice, the body gradually acclimatizes to the changes, which can make the deprivation process less difficult. Meals rich in vegetables, fruit and whole grains will provide the necessary nutrients while facilitating the elimination of toxins.
This type of diet not only helps you to approach fasting with greater serenity, but also contributes to a better physical and mental well-being, making the experience more enriching and less stressful.
During this cure, participants will have the opportunity to discover a holistic approach to fasting, enriched by a variety of activities. Yoga sessions will be offered to encourage relaxation and listening to the body. The sauna will also be available, offering a moment of respite and purification. At the same time, pleasant walks in the heart of nature will enable you to reconnect with your surroundings. This comprehensive program aims to accompany fasting in an atmosphere of well-being, encouraging deep introspection and physical and mental revitalization. Participants will leave with tools and inspiration to integrate these practices into their daily lives.
On the last day of the cure, we'll take the time to prepare a meal together to end the fast. Together, we'll choose healthy, nutritious foods that will enable us to resume eating gently. This will be a convivial moment, marked by sharing and the discovery of delicate recipes adapted to our bodies after this period of fasting. We'll take the time to appreciate each mouthful, listening to our body's needs. This meal will symbolize not only the end of our fast, but also the beginning of a new, more conscious and harmonious approach to eating.
