Activities

Gatherings and any stay at Fantasy Farm are intended to be therapeutic, an opportunity to change pace and benchmarks.
It is crucial to take the time to arrive, to be able to settle down, to enjoy the benefits of taking time to settle.

All are supposed to take an active part in the daily activities and these will include preparing meals, keeping the place and spaces clean and tidy, some gardening and general maintenance.

One week to 10 days is expected for any first stay.

There is not really a maximum stay : long, semi-permanent, permanent stays are welcome, but these must be done naturally, over time, without haste, after reflection and discussion. An integration process is essential so that the harmony of the place is respected and that everything happens naturally, smoothly and coherently.

Throughout the year and the seasons, the moons and cycles follow one another, they are often an opportunity to reflect, to come together. The elements of the earth are sensitive to it and they mark the calendar of the gatherings on the farm.

It is also possible to stay outside these rhythms according to one's own rhythm and needs.

Yoga in its many dimensions is part of the daily life of the place and the project, two weekly classes are given in the village for the profit of the association on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

The Fantastic Gatherings are inspired by nature and lunar cycles, the leisure and pleasure activities offered are co-created and intuitive. The practices of meditation, creation, connection with the earth and the elements, discussion groups, healing, rituals, dance, body touch, expression, sensuality, experimentation... are the privileged activities of most gatherings. During WorkWeeks, work will be mixed with leisure and pleasure activities too. All activities are based around consent.

Gatherings start on Saturday and end the following Sunday, arrival on site can be done from Friday.

There is a parking area at the top of the prairie, for arrivals by train, the nearest station is Saint Saviol, it is 20km away, a transport contribution for "pick & drop" will be requested. For carpooling and hitchhiking, the nearest transit towns where you can be easily dropped off and picked up are Charroux, Civray, Alloue, Pressac, Limalonges, please respect a maximal 20km radius. A financial contribution is requested for any stay, this contribution allows to fill the pantry, cover the costs, buy materials. Each person having different resources, contributions should be consistent with individual means. No one will be refused for lack of means. As an indication, the average amount per day is between 20 and 40 euros per person. The donation to the association can be made by bank transfer, check or cash.

Financial support throughout the year is possible and highly appreciated.

In the context of stays for "work gatherings", the amount of the contribution is reduced to between 5 and 10 euros per day.

Of course extra donations and above average donations are more than welcome and are completely normal if your income allows you too.

People on "Workaway" may also be present on the site at any time.

The way of life on the farm is simple, respectful of nature, body and spirit, and try to follow the principles of permaculture.

We care for each other, we share and participate.

Consent is the basis of everything at Fantasy Farm.

Tobacco and alcohol are not welcome at Fantasy Farm.

The diet is at least vegetarian with more and more fruits and vegetables grown on site.

Some gatherings may contain short periods of fasting Monday is the fasting day at Fantasy Farm, this is in no way compulsory.

The toilets are composted, the shower is hot and supplied with rainwater, it is located in the greenhouse, a bathtub under the stars is heated over a wood fire. In summer, swimming in the Charente is almost daily. Cooking, gardening and daily upkeep and maintenance are shared in a balanced way, all are expected top take an equal part.

Nudity is possible almost everywhere in the property, it can be practiced freely, it is important to obtain the consent of each person present and to practice with respect for all, including the neighborhood without exhibition or sexual provocation without consent.

The capacity of the place is around ten beings, it varies according to the seasons, in summer the sleeping capacity can easily reach twenty. The logistical and ecological aspects are to be taken into account to fix the limits.

Small groups, intimacy and a very particular care for a balanced group dynamic are privileged at Fantasy Farm.
